Need some info on shorter length buttons
« on: July 16, 2009, 08:47:29 am »
Not sure if here or the resto section would be better so I will toss it out here and lets see...

I'm looking for some buttons to replace the one and two player start because the standard ones are hitting a cross brace but just barely. The previous owners had put in a extra nut to act as a spacer but I dont like the looks of that.

So while looking around I noticed that there was some short length leaf switches but have not seen a comparison to others so I'm not sure how much shorter they really are. :dunno

Hey Doc....which game is it?

http://www.lizardlick.com/pages/pushbuttons.shtml
( look down and you see the Yenox Player Imprint Pushbutton with Horizontal Microswitch)

They have short pushbuttons for player 1 & 2...

They are ok to deal with ...but lately they been backed up on orders...I ordered some cherry switches from them June 16...just got them yesterday...

Randy at GGG might can help also

Thanks for the info! The machine is my old Big Boy Dynamo cab with Final Fight in there right now. Got it from that same fellow with those other games we had talked about.

I ordered a standard set from GGG the other day before I realized the issue I figure I can use them for something.

Those Yenox look cool might be the way to go! or the sanwa maybe for lots of clearance hmmm

Aren't the Sanwa buttons for metal CP's?  I suppose if you routed out some area around the buttons on the bottom of the CP, you might be able to make them fit though.

For some reason my X-Arcade buttons are shorter than the Happ buttons.  Not sure if you can buy the start buttons separately, but if you need just a little bit, I would think they just might work.  I can measure them sometime this weekend...

I don't see where you can buy the X-Arcade buttons individually on their site.  I may have an extra set.  I'll see when I get home.  If I do, you can have them.

Hey thanks for that! if you have some spares that would great, thanks!

When I get a selection of buttons I plan to cut some aluminum I have and do a side shot with all installed side by side so folks can have a reference down the road.

I just checked and all I have left are black X-arcade buttons.  If you can wait for another week, I'll be making an order and can replace my buttons and get them to you.
