Sly Spy
« on: July 12, 2009, 11:09:47 am »
Hi , New to the forum still fairly new to Mame cabs. I have built one came it came out OK for a kit built with an X-Arcade tanks stick controller with ball and a 22in LCD. Not sure on the final front end to use on it . I wanted to introduce my self I am Tom I work for PC Medics in Boone NC.I have been reading the forum for a couple of days now I am interested in any ideas for a Sly Spy cab I picked up cheap here. It is working  all original but the picture is not that great I was thinking of converting it to Mame. My main concerns are it appears to only have a 19 in tube in it the cab is 24 inches wide across where the Plexiglas covers the tube . Any suggestions part it out? Mame it ? Try and restore it ?

All working? All parts? Just the picture and artwork?
Sounds like a simple, easy restore to me.

Cap kit + repaint/repro art = Restored
Lookin' for: Neo-Geo MVS x4 board, memory card reader, memory card, credit LEDs
MVS wants: Metal Slug (any), King of Fighters 2002, Puzzle Bobble (any), Rage of the Dragons, SNK vs Capcom, Magical Drop  (any).

That's kind of what I am thinking. Not sure it is worth anything to put the time and money in to restoring it . And i have the game on my Mame machine :) It is all working all complete but the picture is a little blurry.

I was just playin' it on MAME the other day.
A pretty good game.

It would be an easy restore, but it's really up to you.
I'm sure it wouldn't be difficult to MAME it, either.

Doesn't seem to be much 'want' for this game, but again, it's up to you.

Do you want to keep it?
Learning experience to restore and sell?
MAME?
