Yes it does (well kinda).

In the options menu, under "Game Lists" there are 2 tabs: Games and Options.  Under the Options tab tick the "Use most played game list" checkbox; and once it's enabled, select how many games to you want in the list.  Simple.

I'm not following.  Favorites go into custom game lists.

Edit:
I see from Congui's response you may be talking about an "automatic" favorites list.
