Does anyone know how to get wii controllers working with mame and a pc?

The biggest problem I've found is automatically pairing the wiimote to the pc when you boot up. It's a pain to have to pair it manually each time you power up your cabinet.

But that linked article does have a lot of good info in it. I'll be rereading it thoroughly...

Its been sudgested to me this is the best mame pc cabinet option for guns? would you agree or are there better alternatives?

I had a topgun 1 but no longer works with vista.

Best option for guns?  Maybe...never tried.  I've used GunCon2's for a while and don't have too many complaints.  I can play through glass and be as close or far as I want.  The guns that use sensor bars require that you stand a minimum distance back to work.  I suspect they would track better overall, but I wouldn't want to be ~5 feet back in order to play.  But hey, if you already have the stuff it's worth a try.  It costs nothing to plug it in and try the software...
