Unknown coin door with 2 pots and small button inside
« on: June 30, 2009, 12:01:15 pm »
I have a coin door from an unknown machine that has two pots and a small button on the inside.  Does anyone have any idea what these might have been used for?  I understand that one pot on a coin door is commonly used as volume.  What is the other one and what is the button?

How can I determine if these are linear or logarithmic taper pots?  5K or not?

Thanks for any info!

Button could be the service mode switch.

I realize that, but I didn't have a camera handy at the moment.  I've got a picture of the pots and switch attached.  I'll get a picture of the front of the door posted soon.

I did discover that they are linear, 100 ohms 2w pots RV4NAYSD101A from Precision Electronics http://www.precisionelectronics.com/MIL%20Style%20RV4%20PDF%20Download_files/MIL%20Style%20RV4.pdf.  What are these for?  I thought volume pots were logarithmic taper...

Service mode switch does make sense...

Could be from an older dual-speaker game with individual volume controls.
NO MORE!!
