Hi,

I assume that your CD plugs into the auxiliary connection on the amplifier. If this is the case try with another Hifi unit to test the amplifier, a tape drive or cd would do.

Pull out the mute plug to see if that is the problem.

The cd player is plugged into a computer board that came with the package to change it over

Hi Mountaindew,

Have you tried putting an alternative input into the auxillary plug on the amplifier yet?

The plug on the amplifier is P2 and the input connection are pins 1 & 5 with the common being pin 3.

Once you have confirmed that the amplifier is ok you can press on to find where else your fault lies.

The amp is working fine. That problem has been ruled out.The trouble code that comes up on the number board is 37 and once or twice 39 came up

Hi Mountaindew,

Does your conversion still use the Rowe Ami CCC 4-07773-05 (etc)?
If this is the case make sure that the video/record switch is set to record.
Also check that the CCC does not have any dry (cold joints in the USA) on the connection pins (check the soldering on the pins for any cracking)
