Anyone achieved this? This is what I have to work with (and willing to modify the setup as appropriate):
1) Windows XP Laptop with Mobility 9800
2) Wells Gardner 9500
3) PC with PCI-E NVidia 8800 with both Windows XP and Fedora Linux installed.
I've been able to get the laptop to run at accurate resolutions. This is nearly good enough, but I want to be able to enable waitforvsync and get sound that isn't too far off. I can use the "retime sound" option (forget what it's called in Mame), but I want to be able to get close without the sound being too pitch shifted. Given that, I'm trying to get the refresh rates to be close. I've tried using the /T: option in PowerStrip without much luck. I've tried AdvanceMame for Windows on the XP laptop. . . as they mention on the site, the mode setting code isn't fully functional on Windows. I tried AdvanceCD on both machines, but it doesn't support either the mobility 9800 or the 8800.
At this point, I'm compiling AdvanceMame under Fedora on the 8800 machine to try that out.
Anyone have a recipe that works for this sort of thing?
