You're going to have to be a little more specific.  What game, for example?

Midway games from the early 90s used an external sound board, but they used a 9 position connector (though only 8 were populated).  This was used on their popular DCS board as well as to connect some later video boards to the DCS's predecessor.  Is that what you're talking about?  That's just a 0.156" 9 position connector with the 4 outside positions on each side of center connected straight through (for DCS; the old board was a little different and not straight through).  Midway was fond of Panduit IDC style connectors, but anything with the proper spacing (0.156") will fit, including the Molex KK series.

Ah, I don't usually track those topics.

For MK2, you just need a 0.156" 9 position (NOT 8) Molex KK header on each end and 16 crimp contacts (buy 20, they're cheap and you'll screw some up).  The IDC style are difficult to properly terminate without the tool, but the crimp style you can just mash/solder.  I'm guessing you can find somebody to make you one of these (I can, if you wish) for a reasonable price if you don't want to make it yourself.

As you mention, it's straight through wired, but the middle position is not used (it's normally a keyway).

The parts can be bought at Digi-Key or Mouser (or other places).  Parts are:
09-50-3091 - Housing w/ ramp (you can also use the style without the ramp, if you wish); you need 2 of these
08-50-0105 - Crimp contact; you need at least 16 of these.

I'd use AWG18 or AWG20 for this.  AWG22 is a bit small given the amount of current it can pull.
