Gorf on the Arcadeshop multijamma. Any good ?
« on: June 25, 2009, 12:49:14 am »
I've had a working Gorf cab for several years but the custom Astrocade chips are all steadily dying over time.  I've amassed a few spare boards over the years, all in various states of repair, but the 3 Astrocade chips are custom and can only be replaced with originals.

Spotting that the Arcadeshop multijamma now supports Gorf, I was wondering if anyone could tel me how good that board is and what the Gorf emulation is like ?
I was thinking of inserting the multijamma in to the cab, but the cab is none Jamma and has a analogue joystick.  How are you supposed to hook that all up then ?  I guess it can't do the ranking lights or anything like that right ?

I only seem to get short one line responses from Steve so I figure he's just snowed.
Anyway, I'd like to know if anyone owns the board and what the Gorf and other emulation is like.  Also is the multijamma board an FPGA or a PC emulation?  Looks like an FPGA to me from the pics.

Cheers !
