Is it my sw's or my I-pac4
« on: June 24, 2009, 08:35:47 pm »
So I'm new to all this and need help with my Controls. I have happ comp joysticks with cherry sw's and an I-Pac4 interface. Now lets say for example I'm playing Guantlet, when I push the stick up or down the character does whats its supposed to like everything is fine but if I push the stick left or right the character moves for 3 sec then stops moving. This happens on both plaer one and two. Is it the sw's or the I-Pac4. What do I do to fix the problem?

It sounds like there might be some miswired switches. The self-test LEDs on the board are invaluable in diagnosing this type of problem.

If you drop me an email I can help: amdy@ultimarc.com

Another cause of this is using a PS/2 to USB keyboard converter.

Answered by email already but:
The answer is to run the I-PAC in USB mode. All I-PACs can run USB so no need for a converter.
