BYOAC community developed game and cabinet
« on: June 23, 2009, 08:13:16 am »
Hey guys, just a quick idea, did a quick search but didn't see anything like it.

What do you think of a BYOAC community developed game and corresponding cab/artwork? We can all contribute ideas for whatever part of the project, whether that be the game itself, the cabinet design, control panel layout or the artwork.

Hopefully we end up with well documented cabinet plans (and hopefully a fun game).

I think he is wanting to actually build a community game from the ground up.  Project Arcade is a collection of great info for building generic cabs and setting up a MAME machine.  Not exactly what he is talking about.

Correct sir, a whole new game with a corresponding cabinet. Just like the days of yore. :)

It would be awesome, if you could get enough support for it.

Pongo was creating a game for the community but then dropped off the map several months ago. Least, I ain't seen him.

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.
