PCB repair?
« on: June 22, 2009, 11:03:56 am »
I'm no stranger to a soldering iron and I've done my share of tinkering with stuff but I know nothing of oscilliscopes and advanced electronics repair. Is there anyone out there that does PCB repair? I have a Gorf PCB chassis that visually looks fine but is not working. I've checked all the other parts in the game (rgb interface, monitor, controls, etc) Wondering if I could find someone to hire to diagnose/repair the PCBs if possible?

There's a lot of different guys out there that do PCB repair. Check over on KLOV and post this message.

I've found that it's easier to get a working board off of someone then it is to have one repaired.  While they didn't produce 1,000,001 Gorfs I would think a pcb would only run you about $100 and you'll have it in a few days.  you could send it out to have it diagnosed and repaired and have it back in a couple of weeks.  And for the extra 25 bucks or so I would rather have a board with some sort of overall warranty.  Just my two cents.
