Arcade Auction
« on: May 27, 2009, 08:52:55 pm »

I hope it's ok to post the info for this, I am in no way affiliated with it, just thought some local members might want to know about it.  There is an auction taking place in the Niagara (Canada) area this Saturday.   There appears to be some rare items, I would love to go myself but I leave for Florida the next day...check the link...

Yeah there is some really unique items.  If you look at the other links on that link there are some pics and there is some really vintage stuff from the early 70's that I have never seen before.  Wonder if they work or not....

It is sounding to be an excellent auction ... if I was more flush with money, time, space and a trailer I would be there. I don't even have the time to root through the piles of parts, which would be pretty fun. And to see (not lift) some of the Kasco games would be pretty cool to see and all of those old drivers ... and I am nearby on business the follow week ... and they accept absentee bids .... hmmm.

Yeah it's pretty tempting, there aren't too many auctions that have as much vintage items.  My wife would kill me if I went.  You are in the area eh Cheffo, cool.  Were you at the Playdium/Starburst auction last week?

Nope ... didn't have any interesting trades or transactions for the parking lot (the inside auction has been a waste for a long time now). Was there at the auction prior and made a number of exchanges.

If you are local, I highly recommend reading:

Looks like this was the auction to go to ... cabs and cocktails going for $5-10 (along with some overpriced stuff). Sorry I missed it, but I don't have the room anyway.

Yes, that does look like it would have been a fun auction.  Oh well maybe next time.... :dunno  Thanks for the local links Cheffo, those will come in handy!  I might have some boards to sell to fund my new cabinet.  I didn't know that people traded before the auction, I will check that out next time if I go.  Sometimes it's fun to go just in case to see if there is a diamond in the rough.
