Mame not loading certain games

Hi all, this is my first time on your forums.

I finally got my arcade machine put together, only thing left is the marquee but that's another story i'll post pictures later.

The problem i'm having is i set it up using hyperspin as my front end. All was good. I used to use mameui32 to boot my games and i had no dramas. The problem i'm having now is after changing over to mame 0.131 and doing away with my old mame certain games don't boot in this mame and im not sure why. Eg, street fighter championship edition won't work, 1942 wont work, sSengoku wont work and many others, all of which used to load fine in mameui32. They seem to load get to 100% then just crash back to the front end. The same happens when i run Mame without the frontend. Basicaly i'm not sure why?

What version of MAME did you upgrade from? Some of the ROM's are updated and you need the new sets for newer versions of MAME.

Thanks for that i got mame 0.126 and suprise suprise they work. i'll keep that as a temp solution while i get the newer mame and newer rom sets i guess.
