File renamer better than Fuzzy Renamer?
« on: May 25, 2009, 09:48:00 am »
Fuzzy Renamer is such a great idea.  However, I'm not having much luck with it.  It's having a really hard time with even very simple file names.  A simple tweak of just using the first 5 characters as a search criteria and then presenting you with a choice of files that come close would make it worthwhile.

Does anyone have a tool they like to use for matching file names?

as the author of fuzzyrenamer, i'd be happy to help you get it working.

PM or email me (contact is onthe fuzzy renamer homepage) with a list of filenames you're trying to match up, and I'll see if I can get it working better for you.
