Set stick to continue scrolling list?
« on: May 24, 2009, 05:12:58 am »
Here's something else I can't remember how to set up for digital sticks: continue to scroll when held up or down. ??

Not sure about the digital stick, but If I'm not mistaken what you want if for the gamelist to cicle.  In other words, if you're at the top of the list and you press UP, you'll be positioned on the last game of the list; and if you're at the end of the list and press DOWN, you'll get position on the first game of the list.

If that's the case, then under the GUI tab, under the OPTIONS tab, there's a tab called  "Gamelists"; check  the "Wrap games and gamelists" option and you're good to go.  I'd post a pic, but there seems to be a problem right now that doesn't let you attach fles.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

List wrap is selected, but what I mean is that if I have a U360 connected, it's treated like a gamepad, so holding it up or down will continually poll and the list will scroll till I let off. On my main rig my digital sticks do this, too. But the sticks (seimitsu, I think) on this recent MaLa installation on my candy don't. As far as I can tell, except for the mame directories, and no U360 on the candy, the configurations are the same.

Ohh. It's an old, old model JPAC. I guess I'll have to ask Andy. Thanks.

I have one of those myself. Only auto scrolls on Player 1 inputs.

On the 'to do'list is to provide a solution in MaLa to get around this

I have a script that will allow it to work.  It's a work around, but it's basically solved the problem for me.

I've been having general functioning issues with the unit, and forgot to get back on this. Yeah, it works. Thanks for checking.
