Jammaboards 6-in-1 Switcher Test Menu Solution
« on: May 17, 2009, 04:18:32 am »
Hey guys. For anyone out there that has a 6-in1 switcher and want to use the test menu on all of your boards, here is how to fix the problem. First, let's discuss the problem. Basically, if you solder a wire onto the test menu contact of the switcher's Jamma connector and run it to all of the corresponding slot connections, no matter what slot you select, it always goes into the test menu and won't let you leave to the game. It's being caused by a feedback signal from the other boards that are installed in the switcher. Here is the solution. Let me know if it helps...

I also have the jamma 6 in 1 switcher, but dont have the problem of going into the test menu?

I have KI1, KI2, and UMK3 in my KI2 cab via the 6in1 switcher. The only board that boots into the test menu, is UMK3. It completes a CMOS test, then runs the game as normal. Both killer intincts simply boot into the game after a short intial 'blue then red' hd loading screen.

I did however fit relays (thanks to Jimkirk for the help) to my board so that the power was cut to the slots that werent in use when i switch. The thread on how to do this can be found here:
