On-Board VGA or AGP Card ? What Are You Using?

Hello All !
My question is:
Is the ASUS Mobo's "On-Board" graphics fast enough for a ELO Touchscreen?
I don't want to use my spare 512mb AGP card if I really don't need too.

What are you using to drive your display? ( On-Board VGA or AGP Card )

It depends on the video chipset on the ASUS mobo and what it can handle. If the onboard video is decent, just use that and use the AGP video card elsewhere.

Most of us have the 15" monitors and in one jukebox, I'm using an old 128 ATI RAGE card. It handles the videos and graphics well. No issues. It is in a Dell Optiplex GX260. They come without on-board video.

If your wanting to run MAME or something like that on it too, then you need at least a 64mb AGP card.

Remember, the touchscreen itself is a separate piece of glass that is placed over the lcd screen. So use the drivers from ELO website that fits your model number.

O.k., I've already changed my mind. I better use the 512mb AGP Card.
Currently using FreeBox 
Besides, down the road I may end up using a more animated jukebox type application, at least I'll know the graphics will be running smooth.

Yes, I did download the ELO drivers.

I'm still interested in hearing what others have been using.

I have used some right crappy cards and they all work fine for me. A Jukebox doesn't really need anything to powerful.

Any old AGP card that works will help reduce the load on your CPU and give you better performance than your on board video.
