Trackball mounting plate question.
« on: July 03, 2003, 06:42:50 pm »
Hi,

I was just wondering when mounting a trackball plate onto a wooden control panel do most people route out the panel and install the plate flush or just mount it on the top of the panel.

Well, I just mounted mine on top, which is rather common.  This is the easiest way to do it, and plays fine.

If you are considering flush-mounting the plate, you might consider just routing out the bottom and foregoing the plate altogether, if you do it right that can look even better.
