moving a cruisin usa cab
« on: May 12, 2009, 02:06:48 am »
I found a cruising usa original dedicated cab with the 25" monitor. I want to get it into my one bedroom appartment but need to know if it can be taken apart into two peices. From the pics i have it looks like you can separate it at the front base of the chair. I wont be able to get it inside unless is can be taken apart. Anyone have any experience with this machine? I only have a pic and dont want to drive two hours to go check it out if i cant buy it. Its only $300 so sounds like a bargain.

Thanks.

Yes, the seat comes off.

I hope you don't live on the second floor.  Cruisn' cabs are HEAVY.

i assume the seat comes off but does the base the seat sits on separate from the monitor housing area?

That's what I was referring to.  The seat (the entire assembly) unbolts from the main unit.  There are two bolts on each side.   Actually, there are four, but only if you want to remove the frame altogether.  I wouldn't bother.

Get someone to help you with this.  Period.

no wonder the great price. I went to look at it and it was a piece of junk. The add was on craigslist and he had a pic of the original cabinet. When i got there it was some ancient peice of crap. It had a wooden bench for a seat and a fully enclosed cockpit. It was damn ugly. What a waste of time. Who puts up pictures of something else?
