-- What was the first coin-operated video game?

Computer Space

-- What was the first coin-op to integrate laserdisk stored background images with realtime computer generated images?

Astron Belt

-- What was the first videogame based on a movie?

Tron (too easy!)

-- Two of Atari's most popular games were created by the same programmer, Dave Theurer. What two games?

Missle Command, Tempest (big Atari fan ;D )

-- What video game is based on the story of the three little pigs?

Pooyan (I think)

-- What percentage of the screen must be filled in order to advance to the next level in Qix?

hmmm, I'm pretty sure the arcade version was 65%, although I think the gameboy version was 72/75% (can't remember)

-- What was the sequel to Defender called?

Stargate

"Total Carnage! I love it!"
Smash TV

"Great shot kid! That was one in a million!"
Star Wars

"Cowabunga!"
Turtles (of the Teenage Mutant Ninja variety!)

"Uppercut! Uppercut! Body Blow!"
PunchOut

"$%&#*@!"
Q-Bert

'Vultures' are in Joust, and 'Killer hot dogs' in Burger Time (man, I love that game)

Defender uses a 2-way stick (up/down) with 4 buttons (Fire, Thrust, Reverse, SmartBomb)

Tron has a 4-way (or is it 8-way?), single trigger stick, and a spinner

Joust uses a 2-way joystick (left/right - at least I think it's 2 way) and 1 button (fly)

What happens in Pac-Man when you reach the 257th key?

NOTHING. Pac-Man generates a split screen that is half garbage on the 256th screen, which is only like the 247th key. There is no way to get past the split screen, thus there is no 257th key screen.

18. How do you get 300 points for the saucer in the coin-operated version of Space Invaders?

Fire 22 shots and then wait for the UFO to cross the screen. Use shot number 23 to hit the UFO and you will receive 300 points. After hitting the UFO, start counting your shots again. This time, count to 14 and use the 15th shot to hit the UFO. Once again you will receive 300 points. Repeat counting using the 14 shot method until the screen is cleared of enemies.

I've got one for ya (this is actually a home computer game):  What game begins with this spoken line: "Ah, another visitor.  Stay awhile...STAY FOREVER!"

One of my most memorable game quotes...  ;D

Impossible Mission, of course...  If you heard it once, you'll never forget it.

13. What percentage of the screen must be filled in order to advance to the next level in Qix?

This is operator adjustable, thus there is no correct answer.
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

Well I guess but the original game came out unadjustable and was 65%. The adjustability was added later like speed up chip for PacMan. I'm not absolutely 100% on that, anyone care to back me up on that one?

Mame has 3 romsets for Qix. All 3 have operator adjustable "thresholds" (what they call the percentage), and it looks like all 3 of them are actually factory set at 75 percent (at least mine were).

Inky, Pinky, Blinky & Clyde ( still need alternate English names )

How bout:  Speedy(Pink), Shadow(Red), Bashful(Blue), Pokey(Orange)

**EDIT** Nevermind, just saw 1UP's response, I saw the original post still had that listed as needed so I hit reply.

All done & well done!

More to follow later if anyone is interested.

I didn't get into this until late.  Did you fill in answers as they were given?

Also, add in, which game has the cabinet known as the Captain's Chair?
Add in, what game(s) don't do what the titleof the game suggests it does?

Yes, as answers were given I filled in the answers on the test, it seemed like the best thing to do.
I'll have a new one soon ( I'm working on an original one but if anyone else wants to post one feel free of course ).
