Control buttons
« on: May 09, 2009, 11:46:34 pm »
In Mala instead of right clicking and selecting options is there a way to assign a joystick button to make it popup?

Also in Mala is there a way to shut down the PC by pressing only one button?  I know I can go to the menu - exit - shutdown.  But is there a quicker way?  i.e. just one button or a combination of holding the joystick and pressing a button?

For the exit question you can assign a button to be "back" and if you keep pressing it (depending on how deep you are in a tree) it will eventually exit and close the emulator. Mala has a feature that will shutdown windows when you exit (under GUI options).

I don't know about your first question but it would be nice (although I have a right/left mouse button).

1.  I tried going into the GUI menu-Mala Exit changing it from quit to shutdown, but this seemed to have no effect.  It just exited like normal.  I also tried changing the alternate method to shutdown.exe, but that had no effect either.

2.  I see I can assign a button on the keyboard to open the options menu, but can I assign the joystick/buttons?

3.  Also is there a way to assign the joystick/buttons to mute the sound?

I wired my PC's power button inside my coin return so I can turn the cab on and off with one button.  Windows automatically shuts down all programs before it shuts down.

Works for me.
