Galaga Original Artwork in 3D
« on: May 08, 2009, 10:28:27 pm »
Hey all,

If anyone is interested in improving the original artwork of old, I have developed a process that can do just that.  Using my nerdy graphics skills I can throw the old marquees, side art and control panels into the world of 3D while keeping the original look.
I realize this may be seen as sacrilege to some, but I would never destroy a classic.  Just enhance it.  ;D

Check out my freelance page below or PM me for more info.
Oh, this isn't just restricted to arcade art.  Just think of the game room art you could have done!

Trebeck,

I for one am very impressed with all of your stuff, so go ahead and add this to the list.  I saw the Bubbles piece you did and enjoyed it as well.

Once I get my control panel finished and think of a theme I think I will be calling on you for some assistance.

That's super cool  8)

How well does it show up when viewed from straight ahead though? Or is this supposed to be printed at an angle?

Hey patrickl,

Good question.  I tilted the design slightly because at smaller sizes (for the forum) the 3D doesn't show off as well.  However, I rendered this thing at about 33 inches long straight on and it still looks great, and is very very clean.
