wrestlefest pcb not working? Please help!
« on: May 06, 2009, 03:21:46 pm »
I have a wrestlefest PCB I bought off ebay. I tried to test it yesterday and it appeared to not power up. This is the hardware im using.

ATX power supply
rgb to vga convertor (yaton EBAY)
wwf wrestlefest pcb
28 pin jamma harness

I have a golden tee fore 2005 that i tested also. It works. As you know the power supply goes directly to the PCB on the golden tee game but on the wrestlefest it goes trough the jamma harness. I have a manual for wrestlefest and have matched the +5 and +12 to the pinout on the jamma. I wired those in form the +5 and +12 from the power supply. I have the rgb connections plugged to my convertor.

I plug my power supply in and nothing happens. My vga screen turns off because it doesnt sense an input. This makes me think that the board is not getting power or it is powered up but the video output is wonky.

On a side note, the video converter i am using has a red LED when it is powered on. It is constantly on with the golden tee test but when i power the wrestlefest pcb on it blinks once then goes off.  ???

Does the wrestlefest board give any indication on the board itself if it is powered on, any led lights, noises or anything. Is there something i am missing? The manual describes the dipswith settings for dipswitch 1 and 2 but there is a 3rd dipswitch on the board with four switches. When i recieved the board the fourth switch was in the on position and the rest were off. What are these switches for?

I am a begginer at this stuff so please help me out and help me get this PCB running, it was one of my childhood favorites and i hope to build a dedicated cab for it soon. Thanks.   :-\

The simplest way to test it would be to put it in a Jamma cab. I had this problem recently and rang a local operator who was more than happy to test one for me.

you need all the video pins for jamma connected (including the video ground!)  plus the 12v 5v+ 5V- and ground See http://www.jammaboards.com/jcenter_jammaFAQ.html for the locations

Unfortunatly I dont know of anybody that has one that would let me test it. I didnt have the -5v wired in. Maybe that was the problem. Ill try that.

Im in Stratford Oklahoma. I have 3 ( wrestle fest, TMNT 4 player, and GT99) that I would like to test besause I cant get any of them to work and I dont think that I have 3 bad boards.
