Need help with scrollspeed in MALA

My MALA scroll speed is VERY slow. I am using Marquee images instead of a text list to select games. I have done all the steps I found on the MALA wiki to increase scroll speed and it didn't help at all.

Any ideas how I can speed up my scroll speed?

If you force MaLa to update every field when scrolling it can be slow (especially with videos)

Have you tried a display delay on some items and/or video? Try a few combos.

Yeah I just found that feature too! It's under game lists. Select all games the go to options and put a check box next to "use most played gamelist".

you can also download a bulk image resizer and resize all your snaps to something like 250x250 pixels, this can help speed it up

Ok, so this is a good question then, how can I figure out the actual size that is being shown on my monitor? I have no problem batch resizing. I can do it in Fireworks or Photoshop. I just need to know what size to optimize all my screenshots and marquees too.

250 x 250 is square though. You mean max 250 width or height?

I just checked and all my snaps are already max 222px. So, that's not it!

I resized all my marquees to 250px wide and also made them 8bit .png files. My Marquee folder is now only 25MB large! Originally it was 175mb, then when I resized them it was 800mb. It's now 25mb!

Anyways, that did it. It's fast now. I also played with the video delay and made that come one a little slower. It's good now! Thanks!
