Information on rare rebuild (Beastie Feastie)
« on: April 07, 2009, 12:20:55 am »
Does anybody have any resources that may help to rebuild a Beastie Feastie cab?  I know this is a conversion game, but I've seen dedicated cabinets that I'd love to rebuild.  I'm not sure where to get any of the parts or artwork, I guess it's just a pure research stage right now.  Any ideas?

I've never seen one, but think it would be a cool project.

You could try KLOV as I think I've seen a kit or two recently, or at least some parts.  You may want to broaden your rebuild and look for "The Glob" or "Super Glob" as they are basically the same.  There were some dedicated PCB's, but other's were just add on's to PACMAN PCB's.  It was a conversion for PACMAN so start with that Cab and go from there.

Here's a link where someone found a kit.

I played on someones Beastie Feastie that was a Pac-Man conversion (it included the PCB, marquee, glass bezel and control panel). Pretty fun game, but I think they're really rare. Like others posted, there are several versions, although they are different (at least The Glob, Super Glob and Beastie Feastie are different). Some get harder quicker than others, the sounds and graphics are a bit different, etc, but they all are pretty much a similar game.

So Beastie Feastie is The Glob? (same game)?  I think its one of the old school simple but fun games. I used to play The Glob quite often when it first was out. I know i have seen many threads (well ok, not many, but almost all where it is mentioned) putting Glob down, as a bad game. Its by todays standards pretty spartan, but back in its day i felt it stood along the other games quite well. make sure you post a shot someday if you get it done. Heck I played The glob not to long ago on my machine.
