need help with keywiz
« on: April 03, 2009, 10:43:07 pm »
can anyone help please
l have just finished my first dukebox but am having a problem with the bootup, firstly can someone tell me how to make my dukeboxer software boot up when the conmputer starts. l have tried a couple things , and yes it does work without the keywiz running but when both of them are on together it all freezes up. if l have the keywiz booting automatically only ,and then click on the dukebox software (the dukeboxer) on the normal desktop it all runs fine, l think the fix would be to have the dukeboxer boot when the keywiz finishes initiallizing, but how to do that l have no idea, or may be l am not correctly putting the dukboxer into start up properly.

Put KeyWiz in your startup.... set your jukebox software up in the LAUNCH function in the KeyWiz software.

I don't remember the specifics from when I set my jukebox up, but you were on the right track.

thanks for the reply

but the launch feature does not work in xp ,as l found out in the keywiz instructions.

According to the papers l have to use something called a keywiz link file to launch other applications, but once again l don't quite understand what it all means.

can anyone explain. thanks
