E-touch screen resolution problem
« on: April 03, 2009, 05:23:33 pm »
I keep setting my screen resolution to 1024 x 768 and saving it but it always reverts to 800 x 600.  I have save settings on exit set but that does not help.   I am using 5.03.  Anyone have this problem or a solution?

So you are setting it to the 1024 skin and it's somehow defaulting back to the 800 x 600 one? I have not seen this problem myself.

Yes I have only an 800 skin and a 1024 skin available in my menu.   I have seen the 1024 skin try to change my display in full screen mode and things seem to get confused when changing on the fly.  So I changed it in windowed mode and went back to full screen and it found that etouch was back to the 800 skin.

You need to pick the 1024 x 768 skin and then click load skin. Then you need to save the settings and it should retain 1024... if you open the freebox.ini file you can see what it has listed as the current skin in there and it should be the 1024 skin.

Thanks Barry,  I wasn't pressing load before saving it.

The possible reason of up cast of permission by a monitor can be damage of input-output controller or that a monitor or videocard does not support the permission 1024х768

No it was definitely me not touching the load button before saving.   The screen resolution was already set at 1024x768 in Windows.

for me it should save it anyway for the selected skin, even you diddent press load. It could autoload after a some delay, like 2-3 seconds or such.

I've not had an hassle with the way i have it set up now so i won't be changing it i was just explaining why i had the load button there.
