[SOLVED] Trackball won't spin! Help?

I am working on mounting my trackball (2 1/4" from Ultimarc.com) to my control panel, but it won't spin! It moves in both directions but when I pull my hand over it to "spin" it, it stops as soon as I take my hand off it. Aren't these supposed to spin long after I pull them with my hand?

I also wonder what direction to mount the trackball. I can't find any info on the subject and I can't find any x/y rotation marks etc. on the trackball itself. I don't want to mount it and then find out that its movements are reversed, so I'll have to remove it and mount it again.

Guess that's more a thing of 3 inch balls. The spinning feature is mostly for Golfing games or not? They all have 3 inch balls. The 2,25 inchers are for Centipede and co.

Ah, good. I was a little bit worried there for a moment. The reason I asked is because I watched this guy on YouTube play some golf game with his trackball and it spun like crazy.

Ok, spinning is not necessary, as I won't be playing a lot of golf games anyways.

Do you also happen to know what direction I should mount the trackball? I'm connecting it to a Mini-PAC and the cable is already wired and clamped, so I want to get it right the first time.

Just plug it and test it before mounting. That's quite an easy way to find out the correct orientation!
