the problem was a ps2-usb adapter i was using, when I plugged it into my desktop with a ps2 port directly it was no problem, however its a moot point now. i seem to have killed it since it doesnt work at all anymore.

basically i noticed 2 jumper setting, one for ps2 and one for usb,I saw the little board lead offs and assumed it was for a usb header.I remembered having a couple usb cords with those kind of ends so i hooked it up and plugged it in and it didnt work so i figured oh well i was wrong, except now its totally dead. I'm so frustrated since i was so close to having this thing done, but its my own fault, so i can only be mad at myself for killing it.

so next paycheck i guess im ordering a new usb IPAC 4 *sigh*
