Marquees - UK help
« on: March 29, 2009, 05:47:03 pm »
Hi guys,

First time cab builder here. I think I have all the info I need for my bartop build, but I'm struggling on the last detail - the marquee. I already have the art ready to go in Illustrator, so I can produce any size needed. I have a few questions about the physical side of things.

- I'm looking at ordering from either Mamemarquees or Gremlin solutions at the moment
- When I get my marquee printed, what should I expect to receive? From what I've read, I'd receive a vinyl print to my specified size. Is this vinyl adhesive or does it need to be sandwiched between two sheets of plexi? I've read different things on this.
- If I need to sandwich it, what thickness plexi should I order?
- How do I fix this to my cabinet, given that I'll have a standard "shelf" affair with a striplight at the top of the cab? I've read mention about some kind of metal retaining strips?
- Is there anywhere in the UK that I can order all of the parts I need together? Any UK builders that have had a marquee printed and can recommend where to get the parts?

Thanks!
