Arcade Bezel Question - LCD Topguns
« on: March 23, 2009, 02:33:46 pm »
Currently, my cab has a standard clear plexiglass bezel with artwork/board behind covering around the monitor.

However, I wish to add LCD Topguns to my cab and to do this, I will need to re-evaluate the design. I have heard a lot of mentions of smoked plexiglass but am unsure of how well it works. I take it the entire plexiglass is smoked but does this a) hide everything surrounding the screen and b) doesn't it dull the picture a lot?

Also, if I considered buying a replacement clear plexi and spray-painted the surrounding area past the screen, would the LCD Topgun be able to pick up the sensors through the paint?

Or are there other, better options I could follow?

Any suggestions of how I can make this work will be gratefully received!
