UPDATED:: See answer in third posting!

Hello All,

I need to know if I use Instantsheller to start my jukebox, will the Griffin Powermate driver automatically be started also? The ELO touchscreen drivers start automatically, but I cant seem to get the Powermate to do the same.

I know there are issues with the powermate and I have the old drivers 1.5.3. When windows starts up to the desktop (without Instant sheller) the powermate works 85% of the time (just un-plug and re-plug). When using Instant sheller, my powermate doesnt work at all.

Any thoughts?

Thanks for the time,
Fordman

;D I Believe I found a way for Instantsheller to Boot E-Touch & Griffin Powermate at the same time.

I posted in another forum about this and was given instructions to make a 'Batch File'.

After I learned how to make a batch file, then I had to convert it to and exe file using a program called bat to exe . I called my batch file bootup.bat converted it to bootup.exe

The told instantsheller to boot up bootup.exe and now after about 50 or so restarts and complete shutdowns, the Griffin Powermate has a 100% start-up rate vs. when it just started with XP it had about 85% start up.

Here is what I did to make my batch file: (note - this is where my Griffin Powermate & E-Touch files are on my hard drive, yours may be in a different location. Adjust the lines below to match where you have your files located)

Open Notepad
Typed this :
start /d "C:\Program Files\Griffin Technology\PowerMate" PowerMate.exe
start /d "C:\Program Files\E-Touch Jukebox" etouch5.exe
EXIT

Then, when I saved it, I choose, File>Save As>Save As Type = All Files>Bootup.bat <--very critical that you choose Save As Type = All Files or it will just save it as a .txt document.

Then I used a program called bat to exe converter. (I have added a link to download it).
www.ppcomponents.com/jukebox/Bat_To_Exe_Converter.zip

Then extracted bat to exe to where I want it on my hard drive, then opened it. Choose the bootup.bat file and after about 8 seconds, it created the bootup.exe file.

Then I just told Instantsheller to boot up the bootup.exe file.

So far, Great Success!

Hope this helps!
