Help: Hydrogen Controller Problem
« on: March 11, 2009, 11:28:11 pm »
I'm in a desperate situation and was hoping that someone might have some ideas.

I was practicing for a classic game tournament coming up this weekend and began having difficulties with the Hydrogen controller I have from Atom Arcade.

The "Down" direction of my joystick began to intermittently refuse to work, and finally stopped working altogether.

I checked the joystick leaf switch with my multi-meter. I re-flowed all solder at the joystick connections, and also at the point the lead connects to "Down" on the Hydrogen controller PCB. I even swapped the USB cable.

Basically I eliminated all possible culprits besides the controller itself.

I was wondering if anyone has had this problem before and I would appreciate any ideas for a solution.

I'm hoping it might be some sort of software problem that can be remedied.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

Darren
