Minimum Reqs to play Blitz/NBA Showtime
« on: March 10, 2009, 04:37:05 pm »
I see that with some of the new Core 2 Duos that Blitz is now playable. I haven't looked to much into this, just thought I'd start fresh here. Has anyone been able to play NBA Showtime? This is one game I'd love to play on my machine.

If so....how well does it play? Full Speed?

What Processor, RAM amount, etc. would I need to purchase to make this possible?

BASS!

A core 2 quad 9550 would not be out of line, with a ton of ram and a 64bit os. See http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=72776.0

Quad is worthless at the moment for mame when compared to a duo.

Imo, a 3.2 Ghz Core 2 Duo with 64 bit OS and Mame is required for Blitz.

Blitz has the higher requirement of the two.

As far as ram goes, I dont think you really need more than a gig for Mame, but I would suggest that you might as well go for 2 gig at the least since its cheap if you are building a new computer.
