As a long time lurker here on the BYOAC forums I figured I should post my finished 60-in-1 cocktail. I've learned a lot from this and other arcade forums so now I can give back a little of my experiences.
This game stared out as a decrepit Yee Ar Kung Fu. I don't have before pics but I'm pretty sure it was a mouse home for a while. There wasn't anything useful left so I gutted the cab and striped the finish. I applied a couple of coats of auto basecoat/clearcoat which came out nice.
I decased a 19" PC monitor and swapped the mounting brackets from the shot arcade monitor. After some swearing and jury-rigging I got it to fit . For a long time I was going to go the MAME route and even had a computer stripped and wedged inside. It was very tight with no place for a keyboard. I ordered some controls and cut the control panels to accept a flat aluminum plate. And there it sat...for a couple of years.
I moved, got remarried, and switched jobs. The game sat under a pinball machine waiting the the right time. A couple of months ago I heard about the 60-in-1 board and its ease of assembly and use. I was remembering the difficult time I was having fitting the PC in the cab and getting a front end loaded. I never did get a satisfoctory program going. With my available time limited with the house and new job I decided to copout and go this new easy route.
