Ultrastik 360's rock!
« on: March 06, 2009, 10:39:12 am »
I'm in the process of finishing my cabinet and managed to wire up the two U360's I have. Of course, I had to try them out so I plugged my control panel into my desktop computer. Holy crap the U360's are fantastic! I'm using the stiff springs and circular restrictor and was playing pretty much every game with ease. Even the 4-ways played great. I'd forgotten what it was like to play these games with a real joystick and buttons.

Of course, before I knew it a couple of hours had passed. I now know why everyone says to wait until your cabinet is finished before hooking up the control panel. If you don't you'll spend more time playing and the thing will never get done.  :)

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

Welcome to the club. :)

Thanks. I'm so close to the finish line. The PC parts should arrive Monday, as well as my coin door. After that, all I have left is the glass and I'm done. And it only took me about 10 years including planning!  :laugh2:

yeah..the u360s do rock.  i just got a pair of them a few weeks ago, and i couldn't be happier.  i am amazed at how well they perform in so many different games..  i put off spending the money for them for a long time...i am so glad i finally decided to go for it.

I've always wanted to give them a try, but I have a pair of P360s in my machine and I've never felt anything but total happiness for them. I'm guessing that the Ultrastiks are a bit more popular around here though, right?
