Road Trip
« on: March 05, 2009, 05:43:01 pm »
I'm heading off tomorrow to pick up a couple more (partially working) games for my collection. It will be my longest road trip yet for a score - should take alllll day. Wish me luck.

Oh, and here's a hint at what I'm picking up...
One rhymes with "Bar Whores", and the other rhymes with "Heaven Plenty."  ;)

Star Wars and 720!

... what do I win?  ;)
So a leper walks into a bar and as he gets his beer, a finger falls off. The bartender who is serving him turns and pukes all over the place. The leper, feeling bad, says, "Was it my finger falling off?" The bartender turns to him and says, "No, it's the guy dipping chips into your back."

I'm back. It was a looong day. I traveled from Portland, OR to Walla Walla, WA (about 260 miles each way). Seems a bit crazy, and quite frankly this morning I was thinking it was a mistake. But now I am the proud owner of a nice condition Star Wars upright and an OK condition 720°. Both need some work, but I think the Star Wars is in great shape physically. I will have some pics up soon in the Restorations forum, but for now enjoy some pics I snapped with my phone on the drive. It really was a beautiful drive...

I don't drive much for games anymore, but those two would be well worth a day in the car ... nice!

Now make with the game pics ...

Maybe you could help abzman2000 with his Star Wars cab that was all torn up. http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=87982.0

I think he needed pics of how it was assembled to figure out was was OEM and what was tacked on by previous owners....

Voila.

I haven't taken any of the 720° yet, but hopefully will soon.
