Mameroom.com Quad Control Panel Kit
« on: March 02, 2009, 04:48:02 pm »
Hello all,

I just ordered my Mameroom.com Quad Control Panel Kit.  Anyone have experience with these?  I plan on writing a comprehensive review once I receive it.  I ordered it with custom layout and the t-molding and after shipping it came out to just over $206.  I'll post the final product in a few weeks.

mameroom has been around awhile.

Scott is a great, helpful guy. I've visited their shop in person. It's very quiet, small, and non-assembly line style. Everything is made to order.

I just went and picked up a piece from him the other day. I had misplaced a lot of hardware during a move, and he gave me a complete set at no cost for me.

Really a nice business.

Another vote for Scott. Great service and an excellent product.

I ordered a custom-built two player panel from him. When it arrived one of the panels was damaged in shipping. Scott had me a new panel in a matter of days. Thumbs up from me.

Scott is a good guy; I had major shipping damage as well among other issues. Overall Scott took care of me after the sale but if I had to go back and do it again, I would have made a few different choices. I would not tell people not to order from Mameroom but I would advise them how to order from Mamroom.

I have ordered but not received anything yet, as I have not finished designing my panel. Scott was good about answering my questions. I had a 10 minute phone conversation that helped a lot and we have traded a few emails. He is generally very quick at responding. Can't say anything about the quality of their products yet.

Scott just shot me an email letting me know that my custom quad was finished cutting and will be shipped today. Mr. Glazer definitely deserves some applause for his communication.

I've found that the MAME community is blessed with a lot of great vendors. I've done business with Mameroom, Ultimarc, Groovy Game Gear, mamemarquees.com, and Divemaster and all have been excellent.

Does Divemaster have a retail website? Or just work off of here?  I keep hearing about him.

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.
