Golden Tee is fun. It's not MAME, but I like it.

Golden Tee Golf 2 is in Mame.

Very fun. I like the American Horseshoe game but man is it hard! I hit just about everything but the target.

Shuffleshot can be addictive.  World Class Bowling.  Cameltry is technically a spinner game, but plays well with a trackball.  Rampart.

I like crystal castles and cabal myself.
Oh and that vector drawing game where you draw a circle around something to get it to disappear...can't think of the name...starts with a 'w' maybe??  Not near my cab to check right now...

Quantum is the name of that game.  That is one of the games I never saw back in the 80's but found through Mame and like it a lot.

Missle Command would be my favorite, but Shuffle Shot certainly brings back fond memories of my college bar days.

Cameltry ... although a spinner game it actually plays as well if not better with a trackball. My Son's favorite game.

Ok, thanks. I have some of them. Does shuffleshot need a powerful PC, because it seems pretty new?
Any others?

Yes.  I only have a 500mhz P3 and that game does not run that great.  I usually play with the sound off since it has that echo thing going (and my cd player cranked, along with some beers, and an old shirt that hasn't been washed in 9 weeks - just to really bring me back to my college bar-hopping days when I was king of the table shuffle board).

Yeah, I have rampart and quantum. Another non trackball game, where the trackball works well is food fight.

Ditto on Shuffle Shot (I've amassed 23 hours of play time on my Mame cab so far  :o.  Great party game when you have all 4 players going).

Other fav's:  Crystal Castles, Shoot the Bull (darts), Mini Golf, Tee'd Off, Golden Tee PC, Millipede.

Playing it 3 player rules.  It's the whole reason I want two trackballs, and marble madness.

Quantum is great.

Ahhh!!!  Thanks for the heads up on food fight, I thought I'd have to have another $#*@#& dedicated controller to play this game!!!

In Mame, with the trackball version of Rampart, Player 3 movement controls do not work at all.

I have an updated MAME driver for Rampart (rampart.c) that fixes player 3.  It will need to be applied to Mame Analog to actually use the three trackballs, however.  I haven't submitted it to the Mame team yet, but I probably will when I get around to it.  Just thought I'd mention it, if anybody's interested.

You can get it at:

Thanks!  I'll try to remember to add to the next release of Analog+.  If I forget, remind me. ;)

Rampart would be kind of interesting with a lightgun in place of a trackball.... :)  Of course, you'd need to switch to the trackball for the repair/build phase...

I can't get shuffleboard to play - I mean it loads up and all - but what are the controls and buttons?  I roll the trackball forward but the puck stops abut a foot from the last line like it's hitting an invisible wall...this happen to anyone?

From the driver notes:

NOTE:
- May seem impossible to shoot a decent shot. Either the puck stops right after the "1" or the shot is way too hard and the puck flies off the board, making the game unplayable. Not a bug, but a requirement of certain drivers, which may or may not be normal(?). For the longest time I was using default Windows mouse drivers, and was clearly experiencing this "bug". I installed the latest M$ intellimouse drivers, and now the controls work perfectly. So I'd say, at least in my experience, that new intellimouse drivers are a "requirement". Note that I have received reports from others who got the controls working correctly with other drivers. Also note, this "issue" pertains to all trackball games, and that it's always best to set the mouse movement speed to the dead center position in Windows as well as turning off the any acceleration options and then adjust the analog sensitivity via the in-game menu how you like. Also, make sure any frameskipping is turned off. Smitdogg / xtremediver
