Star Wars Yoke & MAME - plug and play interface!
« on: February 19, 2009, 03:00:09 pm »
Anyone out there running MAME and have a Star Wars yoke they'd like to hook up via a "plug and play" USB interface?  Show of hands, please.

I've got such a device prepared (a prototype version) that I'd like to have someone to borrow for a few days to help me beta test its function and report back.

Anyone interested, please PM me right now.

I am setting up a vector mame cab with the zvg interface. Since it is DOS based the USB is a problem. Can you help with that issue?

How's this project going?  I'm interested as I have a perfect yoke and would like to interface it via USB for MAME.

Try U-HID (www.u-hid.com). It supports all kind of inputs and comes USB ready for PC/Mac.

I may be interested depending on the price!  I have mine plugged into an AKI board, but I have that one board working with a t2 control panel also, and have to rewire it back and forth.

I'd be interested too depending on the price.   Might motivate me to get wiring harness for it built (had the yoke for years now and have yet to use it).

The DS hack doesn't seem difficult. The next question is, will such a device - if it materializes - support extra controls?
