FS: Star Wars Yoke Rebuild Kits (SoCal, USA, Planet Earth)
« on: February 17, 2009, 03:50:13 pm »
I have a few sets of "standard" yoke rebuild kits for sale @ a special BYOAC discount price of $50/kit, shipping included!!  I'll even extend this offer to our overseas members as well.  Now that I'm back in the good old U.S. of A. and I'm getting back into the swing of things, I'd like to start offering the BYOAC group some good deals on my reproduction parts.  BTW, I sell these on my website for $120/kit plus shipping, so this is a substantial price difference.

The kits include the following items:

2 - 60 tooth gears
1 - 28 tooth gear
1 - 14 tooth gear
2 - Thumb buttons
4 - Compression springs
4 - Rubber bumpers
4 - Cherry switches
2 - Extended Life (Mil Spec) 5K Potentiometers

The 5K pots are something new I added to the kits.  These are amazing "extended life" parts which actually outperform the original A-B (Allen Bradley) potentiometers that Atari used.  I know it's tough to believe, but check 'em out and see for yourself.

$50/kit, PM me or email me directly.  If you're concerned about the quality of the parts, ask around.

Hey Deadly,

Does anyone really want/need the spacer "plate" for their rebuilds?  When I looked into this topic previously, it wasn't one of those hot items.....at least, not like the bumpers and gears.

Got my kit via overnight shipment, cross-shipped no less (actually got the kit 2-3 days before I got a chance to send the MO). Also going to pick up a partial Paperboy kit (gears + pots) and the 4 torsion springs so I can do this "right".  :burgerking:

Awesome bit of kit, definitely worth the cash especially at this price.  The new gears and bumpers are especially nice and tough. Can't wait to get Paperboy and Star Wars back in pristine shape with this stuff!  I can't abide by that "squishy" feeling when I hit the corners with my yoke anymore (yes I know, it's odd that I even get the squishiness and not a thudding noise, but my Star Wars was really well kempt).

I don't think he has the small springs, they are not the same as a SW yoke.

I just bought an extra kit with just the other stuff for my Paperboy though so you should PM him if he doesn't see your question.

I'm lost, what does the partially complete status mean?  If I purchase the $500 yoke is it the whole thing and does is work or do I have to buy more parts?

It means that the project is partially complete and you cannot order this yoke.

Finished:  Stargate (only 'cause I got it that way)

I received my Yoke Kit, also cross shipped.

The parts looks solid.

I'm not sure if I'll need them anytime soon, but they are nice to have just in case.

Thanks a lot.
