I have Vista Ultimate x64 and I just got my CP installed today.
I have the I-PAC VE the USB only one.
I downloaded the program to program the keys from there site. It looked like at first it was not working as some of the P1 key presses did not light up on the GUI when pressed and the P1 button acted like I had the swtich set to normally closed. I figured out thats because the key commands used like shift and alt mess with the program itself since its a window. So the Alt key for instance would make the menu pop open at the top instead of showing a key press. After figuring that out, all of my keys work perfectly.
I got a few hours of Mame in with the kids and the wife and we had a good time.
Now the problem, I cant use the odd mame keys for say NullDC it just wont work with odd keys like alt it causes the menu to open and wont register as a key press. So I went into the WinIPAC program and changed the keys to new values, just simple keys like A, S, D, F, G, H and hit the "program" button and it says.
"Driver installed ok" about 5 seconds pass "Failed to program IPAC" and I have not been able to find any way around it yet.
> Tried to change the program.exe to different compatibility modes, I tried to installed an older version, I tried a few different things and just nothing is working.
Im most postive its because the software is trying to program it to the IPAC memory even though this version does not have it. It has to go to RAM instead. I noticed the patch notes on there site somewhere have a command line only save to RAM feature due in the next version of the program. But I-PAC VE is supposed to be supported in the current release and so is Vista.
So looking for help here, I cant use many of my emulators with standard Mame keys.
