Purple T-molding?

I could swear someone posted a link that had more varied colors when someone was looking for dark blue vs the lightblue happs/etc has.

Can't find it though.  What about rit dyeing some white t-molding to purple as a last resort.

I am not sure if black is the best color to start from but there is a new paint that is made to bond to plastic.  You might be able to find some in a color that will match your cab. Krylon Fusion

Something else to try would be SEM dye. It's used in the auto upholstery business to dye vinyl and interior plastics.

You could probably use the method someone had mentioned for dying plastics with Rit dye and warm water.. not sure though, t-molding might be too flimsy (would melt).

Well I think t-molind would be hard enough. I guess it might work if you start with white t-molding. I would be curious to know how well the Krylon Fusion works, though. I've seen the commercials and it sounds like it would be easier if it really works. Either way, RIT dye is probably the most permanent method.

I think I might buy some cheap white T-molding and dye it purple. I hope it turns out good. I'll let people know if it does or doesn't.

Well t-molding.com gives away 6 inch samples in the mail. You may want to try it on a free sample before you risk it on a 20 foot strip.

I would recommend getting as many white samples as possible even if they aren't the right size just to try different methods of coloring.
