Original Cabinet?
« on: February 05, 2009, 10:12:38 am »
Hello everyone.  I've been lurking around here for a while and have actually built my own MAME cabinet.  Now I have the bug and want MORE!!!  Anyway, I was looking around on Craigslist and came across this..http://orlando.craigslist.org/clt/1020001780.html

Does anyone have any ideas what the original cabinet might have been?  I'm curious what hidden gem (if any) might lie beneath.

For a GREAT laugh, check out this post http://orlando.craigslist.org/clt/1018831471.html.  The title sounds great for sure.  :laugh2:

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

Yeah, I'll show that to my wife next time one's on craigslist and say, "See, $400 is nothing! We could sell it for 55 times that!"

hello
i am selling my very very rare atari centipede arcade machine.....
it is real nice but has some issues that need to be adresed..
the monitor went bad and catched fire and burned the inside of the cab abit
but does not efect it cosmeticaly....
it now playes and makes sound but no tv inside picter...
the track ball is loose and the sticker around it is worn out and peeling...
the sides are perfect....

ive seen these machines sell online for over 22,000 dollers,,
so im ofering it at less than half the blue book value with the minor problems it has for 10,000 dollers...firm
10,000 firm or partial trade for a car or truck years 2006 and up....

Thanks Ginsu.  I think I'll take a pass on that one.

You think so?  I think $300 is a little steep.  Am I wrong about that?

No, you're not wrong. $300 is steep for a cab you're just going to MAME.

10k for a burnt out cabinet, you would have to be on the moon to consider yourself in an area that cabinet deprived.

We're not talking about the Centipede.
