Help me with ArcadeVGA and Directx
« on: January 29, 2009, 01:55:20 pm »
Hi i'm in trouble with ArcadeVga (flashed Radeon 9250 ) and Directx (D3D)?
I'm using WIN XP SP3. :badmood:
I've tried DX9.0c and it fail test in DX7 and DX8 but work in DX9 but zinc does not start in d3d mode. :badmood:
So with a tool i've remove DX9 and tried DX8 of a Winxp Mediacenter and dxdiag tell me that all d3d are disabled but zinc work ok(very strange). ;D
So i've removed dx8 and tried DX8.1 all disabled in dxdiag but zinc is a mess no text and bad graphics. :badmood:

Please tell me the best SO and DX to use to have working mame and zinc and epsxe in d3d and ddraw?
I could tri WIn 2000, 98, Me and so on so i'm open to every test.

Thanks a lot.
Mik

HM. I don't recall anyone from here flashing a 9200/9250. I thought about it a while back. Easier (perhaps?) to reflash it back and use soft15khz.

The arcadevga boot pc directly in 15KHz so it is less dangerous for monitor. I do not have a frequency stop in my configuraztion so arcadevga is a must for me.
Pheraps i try to change grafic card and use soft15KHz and if it is better i change the boot sequence to wait for windows start.
