links to websites from touch screen, freebox etc ?
« on: January 22, 2009, 12:13:00 pm »
Hi is this possible , I like the look of Freebox software and thought since im using a pc with wireless enabled is it possible to put some buttons on the freebox software to different links ? Ie youtube ?
So if I got bored of listening to music i could press the internet button and connect to youtube etc and listen to music and watch the vids ?
is that possible to assign a button to a website link ?

This sounds like a great idea!!

Even if it was just youtube, that would be a huge attraction.

It's not easy to do... Adding a button to bring up a browser is pretty simple but really for true you tube intergration you would want it somehow hooked into the search. Or a way of adding you tube videos into the video database of the jukebox.

Hi adding a button to a site would be great, not to bothered about the search etc
It would be more user friendly to click a button on the jukebox to youtube home page than turning off the jukebox and going to the normal internet explorer etc thanks how do i start by adding another button with a link ? im using the red/black skin thanks

I think what Barry was trying to say is adding the button wouldn't be hard......

But then what?
You would need a way to navigate around YouTube or whatever in order to do anything with it. Otherwise it just takes you to that page and then just sits there.
Not a technician . . . . just a DIY'er.

Hi could you not bring up a virtuall keyboard and search typing with that ?
I opened the microsoft one up in the accessories but it was a bit small to use with a touch screen ? Is there any way to make it bigger ? or even use a cordless keyboard ? the touch screen keyboard would be more slicker tho ? thanks

Personally for slickness I'd go with the virtual keyboard. It is a touch screen and all. ;)
