How to fix the plexiglass on a panel larger that its box?

Might be very basic but I only find panel that is the same width of the box (box for me  = where all control are.. under the panel).

My panel width is 34 inches and the box width is 26. So I have 4 inches each side that is in the air. My plexiglass is 34 inches width and will be over the panel (a paper is between the plexiglass and the panel for art). What is the best way to have something to hold the plexiglass? If the panel would have been 26 inches, I would have been able to built-in the plexi by having the side of the box going more high this way the plexiglass would have been skeezed but I cannot do this if the panel width is larger than the box.

How do you do it?

You don't need anything to hold the plexi.  Your buttons act like large bolts, and will keep the plexi from moving.  This is how most everyone here does it.

Also, I wrap the plexi with the t-molding to "finish" the edge.  You can bevel the bottom of the lid so there is no 1/8" overhang and the t-molding will appear to cover the entire edge.

If your going to use T-Moulding to hold the plexi in place be sure to route the edges of the plexi so it is a bit smaller then the control panel top. Just a hair so it fits, if it is the same size it will not fit well.
