Is this possible?
« on: January 16, 2009, 12:35:24 pm »
Would this be possible ?
I am looking for a jukebox program to use with a touch screen monitor and would love it to display a picture(screen saver) when not in use of a vinyl jukebox mech.
Then if you touched the screen the jukebox pic would disapear and the selection of the tracks would appear, you would select a track and play, when the track plays a video would play of a vinyl record playing, and so forth?
I can video a vinyl jukebox playing but how would i get it to play every time a track is played and which software would be best to use ? Does that make sense ?

yes this is possible i made 1 recently and used a program from http://www.ziggyred.com/index.html
more info of others http://wiki.arcadecontrols.com/wiki/Jukebox_Software
i used this as it was the easiest for the young handicaped lad. he uses this with great ease.
it is set to boot on startup with screensaver running as normal with pictures of jamielee on trips with the school. this is displayed until the user touches the screen

I assume you would also want it so when the video was clicked it brought up the song choices as well? and once a selection was made it returned to the video?

Hmmm... I wonder if some of the jukebox software that have a screen saver option would be able to suit that purpose. (If the screen saver was in fact the video he wants to play)

Make any sense?

I've never tried anything fancy like that.  :laugh2:
