Hi everyone. It's almost 10 years since I built my MAME cabinet with much help from the BYOAC community. It has worked flawlessly under DOS with an AdvanceMAME front-end. The hardware is however in great need of an upgrade but my new hardware doesn't play well with DOS. I would love to power my cabinet with Linux but I guess I have to settle with a nLited XP until SDLMAME is up to par with MAME under Windows...
It was while looking for a new front-end I stumbled upon MaLA. It looks really promising and it is what I am planning to use for my upgrade. One of the first things I noted was the nice icon of MaLa.exe and I thought to my self - “it's a shame that the rest of the MaLa executables doesn't have as nice icons”. I soon realized that I needed to put together a new layout since none of the existing is perfect for my cabinet. So I decided to crank out some new icons while I had Inkscape running...
I don't know about you but I hate when an application doesn't have high color icons with transparency in XP. I know it's not important but hey, these ones are for free! I couldn't find an original of the MaLa.icon so I just draw a copy by hand in Inkscape. I then used that one and overlaid some additional nice graphics from the Oxygen project on top of it to represent the additional executables. Feel free to use these icons or it's original anyway you want. And that includes the MaLa development team.

Back to work with my new layout...
Update: I took a look at these icons and realized that they needed some additional tweaking. Minor details but anyway. I have replaced the zip-file and screen shots with new and, in my opinion, better versions.
